This 30 mL bottle holds a finished water-based serum formulated with acetyl hexapeptide-8, the cosmetic signal peptide sold as Argireline. The active ingredient is Ac-Glu-Glu-Met-Gln-Arg-Arg-NH2 — acetylated at the N-terminus, amidated at the C-terminus — CAS 616204-22-9, with a molecular weight of roughly 889 g/mol. It is identical to the peptide we sell as lyophilised powder in 10 mg and 50 mg vials, and each lot is released with its own certificate of analysis.

The “10%” label follows the usual convention in cosmetic formulation: it describes how much acetyl hexapeptide-8 concentrate is in the finished serum, not that 10% of its mass is free peptide. Commercial peptide concentrates are already dilute water-based solutions, so the true free-peptide content is much lower; the figure appears on the lot label and certificate. Reading the percentage as pure peptide mass is among the most frequent mistakes with products like this, so we prefer to explain the convention openly rather than let the number be misread.

### Is the serum 10% peptide by weight?

No. By cosmetic convention the percentage describes the loading of peptide concentrate, and such concentrates are themselves dilute water-based solutions. The real content of free acetyl hexapeptide-8 is far lower and is printed on the lot label and certificate of analysis.

### Why must the serum be refrigerated when the powder needn't be?

Methionine oxidises much faster once dissolved than it does in a lyophilised solid. Storing the serum cold, in the dark and tightly capped slows the formation of sulfoxide. Frozen powder remains stable for far longer, so studies that need a long shelf life usually start from the vials.

### Can I get a certificate of analysis?
