Their peptide sequence is the same — the 24-residue E-domain of IGF-1 Ec. PEG-MGF adds a polyethylene glycol chain that slows proteolysis and kidney clearance, keeping it available much longer. The choice usually depends on how long an exposure the study design needs.

### Why is there no single molecular weight?

The attached PEG polymer has its own mass distribution, so PEG-MGF is a set of closely related species rather than one exact mass. The certificate for your lot states the peptide content and the PEG specification of the material supplied.

### Is it tested by an independent lab?
