Each capsule holds two metabolic research compounds with unrelated mechanisms: 100 mcg of SLU-PP-332, a small-molecule agonist of the estrogen-related receptors, and 15 mg of BAM-15, a mitochondrial protonophore. BAM-15 acts quickly and after transcription: it moves protons across the inner mitochondrial membrane so part of the proton-motive force is lost as heat instead of powering ATP synthase.
