Delta sleep-inducing peptide is offered here as a ready-to-use aqueous solution in a metered spray bottle instead of lyophilised powder that has to be reconstituted. It is the same molecule as our DSIP vials: the nonapeptide Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu, originally isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood during slow-wave sleep and investigated since as an endogenous neuromodulator.
The metered pump releases about 0.1 mL per press — roughly 150 presses from the 15 mL bottle and double that from the 30 mL — and the peptide concentration of each lot is given on its certificate of analysis rather than derived from bottle size. Two features of the WAGGDASGE sequence dictate how a filled bottle should be treated: in water, the aspartate-glycine pair is a known hot spot for deamidation and isomerisation, and the N-terminal tryptophan oxidises and photodegrades readily. Keeping the bottle upright in a fridge at 2–8 °C, out of the light and never frozen, slows all of these reactions. Labs comparing delivery routes generally check the volume per press by weighing before a study begins, because priming and technique both affect it.

Questions about DSIP Nasal Spray
What distinguishes it from the DSIP vial?
It is the same nonapeptide to the same specification, just in another format: a pre-mixed aqueous solution in a metered spray bottle that is ready to use, whereas the vial holds lyophilised powder you reconstitute yourself.
What volume does one press deliver?
About 0.1 mL, which gives around 150 presses per 15 mL bottle. The real volume depends on whether the pump is primed and on how it is pressed, so studies that rely on it usually confirm it gravimetrically.
Why must it be refrigerated?
Dissolved peptides degrade more quickly than lyophilised ones. In water, DSIP's aspartate-glycine motif is prone to deamidation and isomerisation, while its tryptophan oxidises and breaks down under light. Cold, dark, upright storage slows all three.
Which documents are provided?
The peptide raw material is HPLC-tested by an independent lab to ≥99%, and the certificate for your lot covers identity, purity and the concentration of the filled solution. File it with your study records for traceability.
Can I use the solution for assays unrelated to nasal delivery?
You can, but it contains formulation excipients absent from a reconstituted vial, and these may disturb chromatography and some assay chemistries. For work not focused on delivery, the lyophilised vial is usually the cleaner starting point.
