Frequently asked questions

The questions we're asked most often about ordering, documentation, handling, delivery and compliance — with full answers.

Ordering & payment

Must I create an account before ordering?

No — guest checkout needs only an email address and delivery details. If you plan to order again, an account is worthwhile: your order history, documents and delivery details stay together, and checkout fills itself in.

How do I pay?

You don't pay at checkout. After you place an order we check stock and delivery, then email you an invoice in euros with payment instructions — SEPA bank transfer or, if you prefer, a crypto payment invoice — along with the expected dispatch date. You are charged nothing until you have seen and accepted that invoice. Business customers can enter a company name and EU VAT ID to receive a B2B invoice.

Do you have a minimum order value?

No — a single vial is fine. Standard delivery costs a flat €12 and is free from €250, so combining several items in one order usually saves money compared with separate orders, but that's entirely up to you.

Can you source products that aren't in the shop?

In many cases, yes. The shop shows 265 products, while our reference catalogue contains 9,714 entries, among them labelled peptides, antibodies and assay kits. Send us a catalogue number, CAS number or sequence via the contact form and we'll let you know whether we can obtain it, the price and the lead time.

Is it possible to change or cancel my order?

Yes, as long as it hasn't been dispatched. Email us your order reference as quickly as you can and we'll change or cancel it. Once the parcel is on its way, our returns policy applies instead.

Purity & documentation

What purity level do your products have?

Our catalogue peptides are assayed by reversed-phase HPLC to a minimum of 99% — purity being the main peak's share of total peak area, detected at 214–220 nm — and mass spectrometry confirms the expected molecular mass. The precise value for your lot appears on that lot's certificate of analysis, while the product page gives the specification every lot must meet before release. We release no lot until its documents are complete and agree with the label.

Can I review a certificate of analysis before buying?

Yes. For any catalogue product we can send the certificate matching the current lot, before or after you order. Request it through the contact form; your QA team can then approve the material before it ships instead of after it arrives.

Every certificate states the product and lot number; identity data (sequence, molecular formula, theoretical and measured mass, and CAS number where available); the measured HPLC purity compared with the specification; appearance and fill quantity; the analysis date; and the recommended storage conditions.

Will the vial's lot number match its certificate?

Yes — and that matters more than any headline purity number. A certificate you can't link to the vial you are holding proves nothing. Should a lot number ever fail to match, let us know and we'll replace the material.

Can I get the HPLC chromatograms and mass-spec data?

Yes, on request. We issue the summary certificate by default and can provide the underlying chromatogram and mass-spectrometry data if your documentation rules require them. Whenever you read a certificate, look at the method and detection wavelength as well as the figure, and compare measured with theoretical mass — the two should match within the instrument's tolerance.

Handling & storage

What is the right way to store lyophilised peptides?

Store unopened lyophilised vials dry at −20 °C, away from light; kept like this, the powder remains stable for a long time. Brief periods at room temperature in transit are normal and don't harm properly lyophilised material.

For how long can reconstituted peptide be used?

After dissolving, keep it at 2–8 °C in the dark and use it within the study period you have planned. A solution stays stable for far less time than the sealed powder, and how long depends on the sequence — peptides containing methionine, cysteine or tryptophan tend to be less tolerant.

Which diluent should I use for reconstitution?

For vials you'll draw from several times, bacteriostatic water is standard, as its benzyl alcohol keeps microbes from growing between withdrawals; for single-use preparations, sterile water is fine. Aim the liquid down the inside of the vial rather than straight onto the powder, and swirl instead of shaking — agitation creates foam and shear forces that can denature dissolved peptide.

Do you offer calculators to help?

Yes. Our reconstitution calculator gives you the diluent volume and the concentration per syringe unit; the molarity calculator converts between mass, molecular weight, volume and molar concentration; and the unit converter handles mg, mcg and ng as well as mL and µL. All three are free and work entirely in your browser.

Shipping & delivery

When will my order be dispatched?

Catalogue items in stock are picked and sent out the business day after your payment has cleared. Standard tracked delivery within the EU usually takes 2–6 business days depending on the destination; express options can be quoted on request. Full details are in our shipping policy.

How are products packed?

Lyophilised products travel in insulated packaging, with cold packs when the format requires them. Vials are packed to withstand normal handling by the carrier; if something arrives damaged, take photos before throwing anything away and get in touch.

Do you deliver outside the EU?

We offer tracked delivery to all 27 EU member states as standard. Non-EU destinations — Switzerland, Norway or the United Kingdom, for example — are assessed individually, since import rules for research reagents differ widely. Tell us the destination before you order and we'll confirm whether we can deliver there.

What happens if my parcel is lost or damaged?

Let us know within seven days of the delivery date recorded by the carrier. We replace damaged products; for lost parcels we open a trace with the carrier and, once it is complete, send a replacement or a refund.

Policies

Can you advise me on dosing?

No — and be cautious of any supplier that will. We're happy to talk about specification, purity, solubility, storage and format, but we never give dosing advice, human-use protocols or any guidance treating these products as medicines. Everything we sell is strictly for laboratory research — see our terms of sale.

Are prescription biologics listed?

The catalogue includes a few prescription reference entries so that the reference range is complete. Every order for them goes through additional verification before acceptance, and they are listed for reference, not for general sale.
