This vial contains two heptapeptides developed in Russia, freeze-dried together. Semax (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, CAS 80714-61-0) is a lab-made version of the ACTH(4–10) fragment; the Pro-Gly-Pro extension at its end removes the parent hormone's action on the adrenal glands and makes it far more resistant to enzymes. Selank (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro, CAS 129954-34-3) follows the same recipe starting from tuftsin, a tetrapeptide the body uses to regulate immunity, and is stabilised by the same Pro-Gly-Pro tail. Both were designed as short molecules that are simple to make and aren't broken down quickly in plasma.
The powder is white, sterile-filtered and freeze-dried in a sealed vial, with the two peptides in equal amounts (1:1): 5 mg of each in the 10 mg size, 10 mg of each in the 20 mg size. An independent laboratory tests every lot by HPLC to ≥99% purity, and each lot has its own Certificate of Analysis. Peptide Medix EU gives no information on dosing, protocols or administration.

What does each vial contain?
Semax and Selank, freeze-dried together in equal parts: the smaller vial (10 mg) has 5 mg of each peptide, the larger (20 mg) has 10 mg of each. Because they form one solid cake, the ratio is set when the vial is made and can't be changed after you dissolve it.
Are both peptides tested independently, and is there a COA?
Yes. For both components, every lot is analysed by an independent laboratory using HPLC to ≥99% purity with identity confirmed by mass spectrometry, and the lot COA is available. Compare the vial's lot number with the COA before logging data.
What distinguishes Semax from Selank?
Semax comes from ACTH(4–10) and is researched mostly in models involving BDNF, other neurotrophins and attention. Selank comes from tuftsin and is researched in models of GABA and enkephalin signalling and of the stress response. They share the stabilising Pro-Gly-Pro end but very little of their mechanistic literature.
Which solvent should be used?
Bacteriostatic water is the usual lab choice — both heptapeptides dissolve freely in water. Run the solvent gently along the glass and swirl rather than shake, and check the lot COA for any batch-specific solvent notes.
