Overview

Key facts

The two peptides in this 30 mL serum target completely unrelated biology — which is exactly the reason cosmetic-science formulators put them together.

The two peptides in this 30 mL serum target completely unrelated biology — which is exactly the reason cosmetic-science formulators put them together. GHK-Cu (copper(II) with glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine) sits on the matrix side of the research: fibroblast behaviour, collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, the balance of metalloproteinases and antioxidant chemistry. SNAP-8 (acetyl octapeptide-3) sits on the neuro-mimetic side: modelled on the N-terminus of SNAP-25, it is investigated for disrupting assembly of the SNARE complex that drives vesicle fusion.

With independent mechanisms, a combined formula lets researchers test whether effects add up, whether either active changes how well the other penetrates, and whether one water-based vehicle can keep a charged metal complex and a small hydrophilic peptide intact together. Copper complexes react to competing ligands and SNAP-8 contains a methionine that oxidises easily, so compatibility is a research question in its own right.

One size is available: 30 mL. Both peptide inputs are tested by an independent laboratory to ≥99% HPLC purity, each with a lot certificate, and each finished bottle carries a lot number; filled and shipped from our EU warehouse for laboratory research only.

Questions about GHK-Cu + SNAP-8 Serum

What is the rationale for pairing GHK-Cu with SNAP-8?

Their mechanisms have nothing in common: GHK-Cu is investigated for matrix and fibroblast outcomes, SNAP-8 for competing at the SNARE assembly interface. Together they let a study examine structural and dynamic endpoints at once and check whether the actives get in each other's way.

At what concentrations are the actives present?

Your lot's concentrations appear on the bottle label and in the documents supplied with it. Similar research serums usually contain GHK-Cu at 1–3% and SNAP-8 around 1%, but only the lot label is authoritative for your bottle.

Are the peptide inputs tested, with a COA available?

Yes. Each raw peptide must pass a ≥99% HPLC purity release specification plus mass-spectrometric identity testing, and the corresponding lot certificates are yours on request. A lot number on every finished bottle connects it to those documents.

Do the two actives get along chemically?

That is part of what this format is used to find out. Copper can accelerate oxidation of SNAP-8's methionine, and competing ligands can pull copper off the tripeptide. Track each active separately by chromatography in stability studies instead of assuming the mixture behaves like its parts.

Which control arms suit an experiment?

Single-active preparations in an equivalent vehicle. Our GHK-Cu serum and lyophilised SNAP-8 share the peptide specifications used here, so they act as matched controls and allow additive or interfering effects to be assigned correctly.

How is the serum stored?

At 2–8 °C, tightly closed, shielded from light. Withdraw with a clean pipette, never pour anything back, and record the lot number along with the date of first opening. For quantitative work, stop using it once the blue fades or changes tone.
